Scope of Work

Transport engineering specialists, Guy Norris Engineering needed some newly fabricated 40-foot skeletal trailer chassis and axles,  blasted and painted.


These semi-trailers for the trucking industry are designed for transporting shipping containers and contain between four and 10 container twist locks, so they can be configured in different ways.

Actions

Hendriks is well experienced in blasting and coating for transport and marine industries. Contracted to prime and paint several new trailer chassis and axles for the trucking industry, Hendriks undertook a swift turnaround on:

  • A thorough abrasive blasting to SA (sand grade) of 2.5 to prepare it for painting.
  • Applying Carboguard 504 Epoxy Primer Grey
  • Applying PPG 265 Twin Pack Topcoat Silver

The Result

A precisely coated and corrosion-free truck chassis ready to be built upon. Freshly protected trailer axles ready for service.
