Garnets are non-silicate minerals used as an abrasive media to cut away rust in preparation for painting or powder coating.



A commonly used abrasive media, it is silica free, lower in dust and more environmentally friendly than other media. It’s an economical choice as the garnet beads can be recycled and it provides a deeper, more precise surface polish.

What is it used on?
